Check out "Planet Connections Festivity"

It's been a while since I posted anything but I have been very busy! The show I was just in "Crimes of The Heart" was a brilliant success and kept me smiling since I walked in that theatre door for the auditions. We had a karaoke cast party thanks to my special laptop services and karaoke music I had collected previous to Boogie Man George.

Directly after this show closed I was asked by my friend Ramona if I would like to help as web assistant for www.planetconnectionsfestiviy.com and it has been such a lovely experience working with such wonderfully talented people. It really is a small town this New York City. Everyone knows everyone and if they don't within a year they sure will. My experience last year working backstage seems to be paying off since people know that aside from the fact that I design websites and host karaoke and work full time that I also am an actress and singer (LOL damn Gemini traits) and I am actually getting to perform in one of Frank Calo's Spotlight for Variety productions this coming Saturday. It's going to be such a great time. I'm still working at PRC Management and enjoying my job as assistant to a property manager. It's not a theatrical job but its nice working with everyone just the same.

Since the first week of the festival I have tried to see as many shows as I can, since first off it's free since I'm "Staff" and second because the shows are just bloody brilliant! I think every night this week I have seen a play and have yet to be disappointed. Along with all the many shows that I went to see I also was able to get some friends and co-workers together to go see my friend Joshua Henry or Mr. Henry as the NY times calls him as the Tin Man in the WIZ. My other friend Juson Williams was in the show as well playing many different fun characters. I was so excited and happy for them. It's really cool seeing your friends name on a Broadway poster in the subways and in commercials and of course when you get to go backstage and meet Orlando Jones is even better.  LOL. Thanks Juson for the hook up!!

The status on Mr. Gene moving to NY has changed. He is most definitely working on being here on or before September 1st since his 40th birthday resides on the 15th of September and even though I'm sure he wants to have something special with his friends and family we as a team are more focused on just starting our new lives together. I am planning something very VERY special for him. But you are still asking…When are we getting married? Well we haven't really set a date for the wedding since we just need to live together first and get settled in. I have already started looking for a new apartment. Preferably a 1 bedroom with living room and luxurious kitchen and bath would be ideal. Also since he is no longer working for Oceania Cruises things have changed but it's actually turned into a godsend because he hated working in that silly call center and secondly he needed the time to spend with his dad and mom. His dad had cancer removed from his bladder last month so he is going through some chemo treatments these next few months. Hopefully it will clear everything up and I'm praying that his family gets a nurse to come help his mom for when Gene moves up here so we don't have to worry so much about them.

My own family is moving soon. Mom and dad are planning on getting an apartment and moving from that big house with the high maintenance fees to something more suitable for the two of them and a guest. I just worry a lot about staircases and them getting older. I had a dream the other night about my grandmother and even though she assured me everything was going to be okay I still have a tendency to worry about my parents and of course everything else that is going on with my life. I mean but who doesn't?

Also my Best friend Ebonye is coming to visit me July 4th weekend and I'm so excited to share the holiday with her. I'm thinking this year we definitely need to go and stay in Coney Island. Fireworks and a circus what else could you ask for?

I am back on Nutrisystem after a 2-3 week birthday pause….and it's amazing the feeling of losing weight and what it can do for your body. I'm noticing small changes and more energy and am so excited to be just on a roll! 38.5 pounds lost so far. My goal is to lose at least 75 pounds this year. I know I can do it!! No more tricks just stick to the plan. My blood pressure has been high in the past few weeks but I think it's just been stress and too much excitement.

Alright so here's the info to come see my perform this weekend….
